Always be gentle with your barbell when you are twisting on the spike so that you do not accidentally strip the threading by over-tightening. If you continue twisting the top past the point where it reaches a soft, natural stopping place at the end of it's threading, you will most likely will damage your jewelry.

Please avoid wearing any body jewelry with a colored finish/plating, including this barbell, if you have had a prior allergic reaction to plated jewelry or are hypersensitive to non-hypoallergenic metals.
If you need a hypoallergenic option, I recommend this design in plain 316L surgical steel without a colored finish.

โข In order to keep your ion plated jewelry looking like new, please remove the jewelry before bathing, showering, swimming or participating in physical activity.
โข Keep the jewelry away from moisture and do not immerse the jewelry in water.
โข Avoid direct contact with perfumes, body lotion, or other chemicals that can damage the finish.
โข Wipe the jewelry with a soft cloth to clean it after use.

To sanitize the jewelry before insertion, please use only warm water and antibacterial soap. Make sure to dry the jewelry after sanitizing. Do not boil the jewelry or use rubbing alcohol or saline, because these methods can damage the jewelry.
