The Northern Nevada Veterans Writing Project is brought to veterans and their families by the David J Drakulich Art Foundation: For Freedom of Expression. Hosted by the alumni of past Northern Nevada Veterans Writing Projects and Workshops, the projectΓ•s collaborators include the Reno Arts and Culture Commission, TMCC Veterans Upward Bound, Washoe County Library System, Washoe County Senior Services and the Reno Vet Center.

The Northern Nevada Veterans Writing Project seeks to generate art and literary works as a means of explaining war and military experiences, to record and share history, and to enhance reintegration, resiliency, recovery and improved quality of life.

Expensive, But Genuinely Effective and Worth It

Because I need to work from home, I converted a corner of my living room into my workspace but was constantly distracted by the sound of the TV and family activities. Although this partition wall is expensive, its effectiveness genuinely surprised me. It doesn't create complete silence, but it is incredibly effective at absorbing and dampening background noise. Now when I'm in a video conference, the sounds from the other side of the room barely come through. The entire partition is made of solid materials, is very stable when unfolded, and the grey felt surface also looks high-quality.

Decent at dampening sound

This partition was easy to assemble and is stable. My husband and I both work from home, and the desire was to have a sound barrier. It definitely dampens the noise. If it was another foot taller, that would be even better at dampening the noise. Obviously, we still hear one another quite well, but the partition simply softens the noise of each other.
