Manhattan to Berlin: Dave Sumner, better known as Function, had found a new path in techno, and as he obsessively talked about the British Murder Boys and the work of Mika Vainio, he focused in on his latest influence: Sleeparchive. Elements of Plastikman's take on jacking raw rhythms collided with SΓ€hkΓΆ bleeps for a powerful post-Jeff Mills form of techno. After a laptop, Battleship-like session in Berlin with Dave and Karl O'Connor, better known as Regis, Dave decided to move to "techno Mecca". He returned to NYC to get ready, and three months later, on the day he moved to Berlin, his record was released as Isolation on Sandwell District and was named DJ Magazine's 12 Inch of the Month. He then set up his studio in the warehouse of Tony Vieira. Sandwell District: Sandwell District is a literal place - the Black Country - where the industrial revolution began. It's one of the many Dadaesque references in the Integrale catalog. The whole thing has this major punk DIY spirit. Sandwell District quickly evolved from a label into a music project with a distinctly egoless and mysterious approach. They functioned around the motto of "Decentralizing the artist ego, blurring the lines between the artist, label and DJ; re-arranging the DNA of modern dance music." The first record on Sandwell was by Regis, followed by records from Juan Mendez as Silent Servant and Dave as Function; soon they would all release collectively. Sandwell District was a more mature response, the second stage of a career with the disparate influences absorbed, digested, and slowed down, yet somehow more emotional. Later, Rrose would become an integral part of Sandwell, right before they broke up at the height of their popularity, in the spirit of their heroes Big Black. Dave then went on to record his debut solo album Incubation for Ostgut Ton (OSTGUT 024CD/OSTGUT 012LP, 2013) and revived Infrastructure. The Next Phase: Sometimes the only way forward is to look backwards. Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it, as the saying goes. Recompiled I/II (ATON 002LP) and II/II is an attempt to understand what has happened and to liberate the artist from the burden of their own oeuvre. Moving forward, Function is still connecting the dots with his DJing around the globe, with residencies at Berghain in Berlin and Bassani in Tbilisi, Georgia.

Great shoes

This shoe is incredibly comfortable and durable.
I work in custodial work as management. However, sometimes I have to help my team when we are low manned. Just recently I had to help my team auto scrub a restroom. My shoes felt lightweight and were completely easy to clean. I was worried I would be slipping on sudsy water. To my surprise, these shoes gripped on to the floor nicely.
I love the versatility of having a working shoe with the great style Bruno Marc provides. The shoe is breathable and true to size. I ordered the black pair as well and have had them for about 3 months. Highly recommend these amazing shoes.

Great quality.

Bought these shoes at the last minute for my husband to wear to an event. They arrived overnight and did not disappoint. They are true to size, high quality, lightweight, and they look great on. Can be worn with jeans to a casual event or with slacks to a more formal event . He loves them and said they are extremely comfortable.

Perfect Shoes Work & Happy Hour!

Working downtown again and occasionally someone will invite me out for Happy Hour after work. So I needed nice shoes for Summer that could take me from my law office to the speakeasy. These are comfy. The little air holes are great for letting out the heat of everyday walking to and from work without being noticeable. My feet can breathe! I'm a size 13 wide and they feel nice, light, with room to spare if I wanted to wear little thicker dress socks or some crew type socks w them. They tie up easy, wipe off fine if I get them a bit muddy in the backyard before work taking out the garbage and they look darn good w out breaking the bank!

Shoes arrived today. My knocks on them are the laces and the warmth (my feet soaked only after 4 hours of wear.) but for the price and discount that's currently being offered, no one can beat it. I was in desperate need of new shoes for my office job because my current ones were torn and color faded due to wear and tear, the two pairs that I bought are very stylish, comfortable, and the bottoms are durable and slip resistant. I was also surprised that they're true to size. I wear sneakers and these in size nine.

Comfort and excellent bang for your buck
Size: 10 Wide, Color: Brown
These are incredibly comfortable. I bought them for work, and as someone who works in IT, I'm on my feet a lot, and often crouching down or leaning in awkward positions, and these have been awesome for me. I've never felt they were uncomfortable. They seem to be pretty good quality too, though I am seeing slight creases where I do end up bending my feet while doing my job, but I have already considered buying another pair (and not because of that, just to have another color).
I even had a teenage kid say 'nice shoes' to me the other day, and I've had other positive comments from coworkers as well.
